What to bring?

Our Alaska fishing lodge fishing trip packages include family-style meals, boats, fishing guides and all your fishing gear. We have rods and reels to use on off hours or you may bring your own favorite.

The temperature may vary greatly from early morning to mid-day and from day to day. Low range will be in the 30s and it may get as warm as 70. We recommend layered clothing which can be taken off as the day warms up. Good rain gear as the final layer breaks the wind, and is easy to shed. We have rain gear available as well as a limited supply of knee high and hip boots for your use. Warm hats, gloves, socks and a warm coat are a must. Don’t forget your swimsuit if you wish to use the outdoor hot tub!

Where can I purchase a fishing license?

Alaska fishing license and Alaska King Salmon tags may be purchased at the Lodge. A 7-day Alaska fishing license and King Salmon tag is currently $85.00.

Alaska fishing licenses and salmon tags may also be purchased online from the State of Alaska, Dept. of Fish and Game, at http://www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license/. For overall information regarding rules and regulations of sportfishing in Alaska, we recommend you visit http://www.adfg.state.ak.us/

Does the lodge provide laundry facilities?

There are no guest laundry facilities at Anglers Lodge, but are available a few miles from the lodge both on the way to and in the town of Soldotna.

Where can I get a rental car?

Rental cars are available at the Anchorage Airport (Ted Stevens International Airport) from all the major rental car companies.  Make sure you make your airline and rental car reservations far in advance.  The fishing season in Alaska is extremely popular with tourists and airlines seats and rental cars can become scarce. Also take in consideration that you'll hopefully be going home with boxes of fish and reserve an appropriate-sized vehicle to accommodate that.

Testimonials

We just wanted to drop a note to let you know, again, what a great time we had!  It was definitely the highlight of our trip and even though we said this was a once in a lifetime trip, we are already talking about when we can come back.

I think we told everyone we talked to for the next 4 days about the lodge, how serene it was, the great guides, the fact that even though we were a little nervous about how it would be for Tif being a kid, she loved every minute of it and was talking about how when she is old enough to work, she would like to work there! And, of course, the wonderful food and what a great job the girls do on the rooms.

We wanted you to know that our trip to Alaska, and the week we spent staying and fishing with you at Angler's Lodge, was the trip of a lifetime! It was the most memorable trip we have ever taken. Your knowlege of the rivers and fisheries and hospitality made it a most wonderful trip.
