Alaska Halibut
Alaska's Cook Inlet offers fishermen the opportunity to catch the largest Northern Pacific game fish - the halibut. In 1987, a 460 pound halibut was pulled from the Inlet. While Alaska Halibut over 100 pounds are caught each season, the average Alaska Halibut run in the 20 pound range. Halibut fishing is generally good all season long and depends more upon tides and weather than which month you come. You bottom fish for Halibut with circle hook and heavy gear in 100-200 feet of water. The Halibut limit is two a day with no season limit.

Testimonials

We just wanted to drop a note to let you know, again, what a great time we had!  It was definitely the highlight of our trip and even though we said this was a once in a lifetime trip, we are already talking about when we can come back.

I think we told everyone we talked to for the next 4 days about the lodge, how serene it was, the great guides, the fact that even though we were a little nervous about how it would be for Tif being a kid, she loved every minute of it and was talking about how when she is old enough to work, she would like to work there! And, of course, the wonderful food and what a great job the girls do on the rooms.

Just wanted to thank you for the best fishing vacation we ever had. You made us feel at home the minute we arrived, and as for your cooking and hospitality, it was nothing but the best. As for the guides, we could never thank you enough for all the help and fishing lessons they shared with us. Your guides are the best on the river.
