Silver Salmon Fishing

Alaska’s Best Silver Salmon Fishing
Saltwater Silvers in Resurrection Bay & River-run Silvers in the Kenai River.

The most acrobatic of all Pacific Salmon, the Silver, or Coho Salmon enter the waters in our area in early July. Our first Silver Salmon are caught in the waters outside of the Cook Inlet and Resurrection Bay. This is a terrific salt-water fishery with a grand backdrop of the Kenai fjords, glaciers, towering mountains and unlimited marine wildlife.

Fly out for Silvers
We offer fly-out trips for Silver Salmon

In early August, the silvers hit the Kenai River and provide excellent fishing until the middle of September. The first of September, the silver limit has gone to three fish a day and it is quieter on the water providing an excellent time to come river fishing. We generally fish for silvers by casting spinners or pixies on the Kenai River. For non casters, we can bait fish either the Kenai or Kasilof River.

We offer fly-out trips for Silver Salmon starting in late July and running through September 5th. These trips are full day trips starting at 7:00 am. The float plane will take you to the western side of Cook Inlet. We fish a variety of different rivers and your destination just depends on where we are finding the best fishing.
